Checking Out: Edpuzzle

Edpuzzle is an online educational platform that offers a range of features(completely free without any paywalls!) to enhance video-based learning. It allows teachers to create interactive video lessons by embedding questions, quizzes, and other interactive elements within the videos. Students can then watch these videos and actively engage with the content, providing a more interactive and personalized learning experience.

But what does that mean exactly? Teachers use videos hosted on Edpuzzle or on YouTube and with the tools provided by Edpuzzle turn them interactive quizzes. There are various  options adding multiple choice questions, open ended questions even just adding notes in the middle of the video. As such by making videos interactable students are bounds to learn and remember more from video content.

Now with all these said i made an activity to take advantage out of this tool its based on The Ministry of Educations English learning curriculum specifically the 4. Unit of 4.Graders, Nationalities.

Click here to check out the activity yourself

Activity: The teacher will explain the students their task which is to watch the video and answer the questions as they come up and to make sure they write down the notes given. Afterwards the teacher will analyze the results of the activity make adjustments based on which questions were failed most often.

Learning Goal: The students are able to identify different peoples nationalities.

However, to my disappointment, I found the overall experience to be slow-paced, lacking in distinctive content, and not particularly impressive. Although i obviously admire the goal.      One o...
